Account Deletion & Data Handling
This page explains how JumahPay users can request permanent account deletion, what data will be deleted, what may be retained, and for how long.
How to Request Account Deletion
- Open the JumahPay Android/iOS app and sign in with your account.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Read the summary and confirm your request.
- You will receive an email confirming receipt of your request.
Data Deleted
- Account profile details (name, email, phone), authentication identifiers, and preferences.
- Saved payment methods and tokens (requested for deletion from our payment processor).
- Application content not required by law or for fulfilling ongoing services.
Deletion includes removal from active systems and purge from backups after retention.
Data Retained & Why
Some data may be retained for compliance, fraud prevention, and auditing.

Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Deleting your account does not cancel subscriptions set up through Google Pay or Apple Pay. Manage subscriptions via Google Pay or Apple Pay.
- If your account is under investigation for fraud/abuse, we may delay deletion until investigations are complete.
